My bird room is 20 feet long by 14 feet wide and consist s of some 150 English style cages.
All year long, except for the moulting season, all my birds are caged individually, in order to get them ready for the breeding season and the different exhibitions. In addition, this method helps avoiding an enormous amount of stress on the birds, since they don't have to compete for food or space. Because they're less territorial than the male canaries , the females are kept in six foot long flights, until the breeding season, when they will be caged individually.
My bird room is also equipped with an electronic air cleaner and ionizer. This instrument is very important in order to keep the bird room virus and dust free, which can avoid you many respiratory problems.
